Marasco & Associates is nationally known for the design of healthcare facilities and we have lectured for the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO/AAOE), American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery (ASCRS/ASOA), Royal Hawaiian Eye, and Outpatient Ophthalmic Surgery Society (OOSS) as well as numerous other professional healthcare associations. We have been published numerous times for work related to the design of healthcare facilities in a variety of medical publications and trade magazines, including Administrative Eye Care, Optometry Magazine and The ABC s of ASC s, an ASOA publication.

At the 2009 American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) annual meeting, John Marasco was honored with The Board of Trustees Achievement Award for his service to AAO over the years. He is the only architect ever to have received this honor. In 2010, we provided our services, free of charge, to the ASCRS Foundation to assist with the design of an ophthalmic clinic in Ethiopia.
